Experience the great herds of the Prairies and Rocky mountains
Wildlife of the Rockies features the most charismatic mega-fauna on the North American continent and some of the most recognized and stunning mountain scenery on the planet. You'll be awe-struck at the sight of the mighty herds of plains bison grazing the prairie flatlands, the giant moose as he wades chest deep into a bright green glacial lake and the mountain goat as he nimbly jumps from ledge to ledge, traversing the sheer cliffs that he calls home. Witness spectacular elk herds perform their annual mating rituals as magnificent bulls do battle and scream out their defiant challenges to each other in their violent competition for females.
Wildlife of the Rockies boasts the widest range of species
The amazing diversity of wildlife species in this region has helped to make it among the most desired destination locations in Canada. Many of the animals here are so conditioned to the presence of humans that close, quality photographs of them can be taken as they display natural and undisturbed behaviour. Canada Photo Safari's guides have spent years studying the habits of these amazing creatures and know all the best locations and safest methods of observing and photographing them.
Included in this package is our extremely popular “ Walk with the Wolves ” feature experience. You can become “ part of the pack ” and explore alongside true Canadian grey wolves as they travel and investigate their natural habitat in complete freedom.

Discover the allure of Canada 's best known and most scenic national parks, including Banff and Jasper. Five adjacent parks encompass the Rocky Mountains and combine to occupying an incredible 12,000 square miles of pristine wilderness. Travel through valleys and alpine passes that were highly valued and heavily used by Canada 's first nation's people and by early white fur trappers. We will stop at many of the most recognized scenic locations and take the time we need to capture professional quality images and to fully appreciate the grandeur of it all.
While traveling with us, you will be staying at comfortable, modern log cabins and chalets that inspire an atmosphere of Canadian history and culture. Delicious home cooked style meals are prepared by your guide and you will share in the camaraderie and purely Canadian experience of aboriginal and early settler style campfire meals.
This 7 day package is all inclusive, 6 night's accommodations, meals, guides and transportation from Calgary.
Customized packages from Vancouver or Edmonton can also be arranged.
